Linocut #6
I worked three hot summer evenings on this linocut, with my feet dangling in a bucket of cold water. I listened to more A Song of Ice and Fire audio books, ate corn out of a can because I can and enjoyed every little breeze that found it´s way thru the window. And did I hear a wolve howling? I would have uploaded the stuff earlier if my week hadn’t been ruined by not so amazeballs news. Change is coming.
The robot is from one of the sketchbook scribbles by the way. I handprinted around 20 pieces [not including the toilet paper test prints *joke*] but the opaque of the black color didn’t turn out as I wanted 40% of the time, no matter how stubbornly long and hard I rolled the roller over the paper. So I am left with 12 good ones now. I wish I had a little press or I could try using screen printing ink or search for some pro’s advice or give up and learn cooking and programming. And here we go, a bunch of photos.
Getting the first layer (red) onto the lino with the help of transparent and carbon paper. I assume there is a less complicated way I haven´t bothered to figure google out yet.
Time to let it dry, wash the tools and eat some ice cubes.
Cutting and printing the black layer.
Done.
I will never ever again write or say amazeballs.
